The accident happened around 5:16 p.m. on May 20. Police say a Lincoln MKZ was traveling westbound on Hollyville Road near Harmon’s Hill Road when it crossed into the eastbound lane and crashed into an oncoming Cadillac Escalade.

MILLSBORO, Del. — 19-year-old Charles Williamson from Dagsboro was killed in a two-car crash Tuesday night in Sussex County, according to Delaware State Police.

The accident happened around 5:16 p.m. on May 20. Police say a Lincoln MKZ was traveling westbound on Hollyville Road near Harmon’s Hill Road when it crossed into the eastbound lane and crashed into an oncoming Cadillac Escalade.

According to police the driver of the Escalade, a 52-year-old woman from Dagsboro, swerved onto the shoulder in an attempt to avoid the collision, but the front of the Lincoln hit the front of the Cadillac.

Police say the driver of the Lincoln, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. 

The driver of the Escalade and a 56-year-old female passenger from Millsboro were both hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.
