BETHANY BEACH, Del. - The final workshop for the North Bethany Bicycle and Pedestrian Corridor Study took place at South Coastal Library in Bethany Beach.
Representatives from the Delaware Department of Transportation and Whitman, Requardt and Associates gave presentations and fielded questions from the community.
The workshop also gave people who live in the area a chance to share ideas and concerns about the safety and accessibility of the corridor. Michael Markovic, who attended the workshop to learn more about the project, said he worries the current setup deters both riders and pedestrians.
“People are afraid to be out there, with cars flying by,” Markovic said.
