OCEAN CITY, Md. - A crash involving three cars shut down all lanes on the Route 90 bridge midday Monday, prompting emergency response and causing significant delays for drivers heading into or out of Ocean City. All lanes of traffic have since been reopened.

According to the Ocean City Fire Department, the crash occurred around 12:18 p.m. on the bridge. Firefighters from the OCFD, Ocean City Police Department and paramedics responded to the scene. Several people were being treated by paramedics, though the extent of their injuries is not yet confirmed.

Firefighters worked to clear debris from the roadway and police are advising drivers to seek alternate routes and expect extended delays.
