LEWES, Del. - 40 Cape Henlopen High School students turned their Spring Break into a journey across Greece. Students immersed themselves in ancient history, breathtaking landscapes and traditions.

In Athens, students toured some of the country’s most iconic landmarks, including the Parthenon, the Temple of Poseidon, the Lion Gate of Mycenae, the ancient Theatre of Epidaurus and the original Olympic Stadium said the school district. The educational tour offered students a firsthand look at sites they had only read about in the classroom.

Beyond the ruins and temples, the group ventured from the Aegean Sea to the mountains of Delphi, experiencing Greece’s diverse geography and rich culture. Students also got to try on traditional Grecian clothing and even take part in the plate-smashing tradition.
